1 Hour Individual Lessons
Our Private Riding Lessons for kids and adults offer a fun, supportive way to build confidence and horsemanship skills! We offer 90-minute sessions; our comprehensive 1.5-hour lessons allow extra time to focus on complete horse care, ground work, and hands-on bonding alongside dedicated riding time.
Tailored entirely to your comfort level and experience, our one-on-one instruction covers everything from fundamental riding basics to advanced technique in a safe, encouraging setting. You’ll learn how to groom, tack, and ride while connecting with your equine partner.
Have your own horse? We travel! Mobile lessons are available at your facility for an additional fee. Please contact us for details.

Who
we are
At Double Heart Ranch in Conifer, Colorado, we’ve spent 30+ years sharing our love of animals and Western horsemanship with our community. As a Western-style ranch and riding school, we specialize in creating inclusive experiences for riders of all ages and abilities—offering private trail rides with instruction, private lessons, and seasonal camps. Our friendly instructors build confidence and help riders connect with our gentle herd in a warm, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
Beyond our equine programs, we are also home to ethically bred Miniature American Shepherds through our Little Creek Mini Aussies program, where we prioritize animal health, temperament, life-long wellbeing and double-registered quality with natural tails.
Whether you’re learning to ride or welcoming a new furry companion, Double Heart Ranch is a place where horses and minis aren’t just animals, they’re teachers, guides, and friends.
